Day Camp Program

CA Camps Structure

Campers are placed into “Bunks” comprised of 8-14 similar-aged campers.  Bunks travel to various activities together, and some activities include 2-3 bunks together.  Bunks always have one head counselor (age 18+) and most bunks have a junior counselor (age 16+) and a teen (12-16 year old) LIT or CIT most days.

Our “Units” comprising of all campers of the same age.  Each Unit is directed by a Unit Head, a senior staff person who is the parent point-of-contact for their camper.  The Unit Head is the direct supervisor of the bunk staff.

CA Camps Units

  • Goldsmith Camp @ CA: 3s (Located within Goldsmith Early Childhood Center)
  • Camp Katan: 4s (Entering Pre-K)
  • Junior Village: 4-6 years old (Camp Katan and Kindergarten)
  • Lower Camp: 6-8 years old (Entering 1st-2nd grades)
  • Middle Camp: 8-11 years old (Entering 3rd-6th grade)
  • Teen Program LIT / CIT: 12-15 year olds (Entering 7th-10th grade)

Bunks follow a weekly schedule and usually hit every activity around camp!   On Thursdays, our older campers typically are out of camp on a field trip!  On Fridays, we usually have a special weekly event plus our famous Shabbat sing-along in the afternoon.
