The CA Scoop – Week 4 2024

What a Week 4! We are in full swing Down By CA Camps!

• Our morning Boker Tov is the most amazing start to our day! Campers dance, sing, and shout out “Boker Tov” to each other, followed by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of HaTikva. Starting the day with our whole camp brings so much comradere and spirit!
  
  
• Campers LOVE Earth Art with Morah Judy and Yoella! Campers tend our community garden (its harvest time for some fresh greens and root veggies!), use photo-sensitive paper to make nature photos, and create nature collages.
  
  
• Campers acted with loving kindness (“gimelut chasadim“) by making Bunches of Lunches – lunch packs for our less fortunate neighbors in the Baltimore community.
  
  
• Campers get a special treat with their cooking picnics with Morah Robin – this week, campers enjoyed Mud Pie chocolate pudding cups! Yum!
  
  
• Karate with Master Quick, Rock Band with Lutherville School of Music, sports games with Gina are all hits throughout the week!
  
  
• Our older 3-6th graders enjoyed a private screening of Dispicable Me 4 with recliner chairs! Our Science Camp is in full swing as well.
  
  
• Our LIT/CIT teens worked so hard, led by the carnival chairs Mollie Golaner and Kendra Baptist, and Unit Head Morah Becca, to create an AMAZING carnival for our campers! Even though it rained, we were able to shift indoors without missing a beat. Campers enjoyed Fairy Hair, caricatures, Pin the Tu-Tu on Becca, Pie your LIT/CITs, and more!
  
  
• Campers gave a WARM CA Camps welcome to Rabbi Sam Blustin at our Friday Shabbat service. Rabbi Sam reported that he has a LOT of work to match the ruach (spirit) of our campers as he joins Chizuk Amuno as our newest clergy!
