Week 8 Highlights
Summer 2024 is out with a BANG!
- Earth Art: THANK YOU to Morah Judy, Yoella, and our facilities pro Ray for building an amazing Mud Kitchen this summer! The Campers love playing in the mud kitchen! The garden, nature trail, and outdoor classroom are a huge highlight for our camp!
- Swimming: Wow – watching the timid new swimmers during Week 1 compared to the confident, jumping, dunking water-loving campers this week is amazing! You will be in AWE when you take your campers swimming and see their progress!
- STEM: Our campers inspected items from around camp under the microscope. Ask your camper what they saw!
- COLOR GAMES!: Yellow Mustard vs. Red Ketchup… the Campers faced off in wacky games, sports competitions, dancing, arts, and more to crown the Condiment Champion. Yellow Mustard “squeezed” out Ketchup but fun was had by all!
- Culinary Camp: Our Culinary Camp traveled Around the World this week, making dishes from all over. Yummy!
- End of Summer Festivities: We ended our summer with a dance party, photo booth, Snowballs, and other going away events! Our campers put their arms around each other and left Camp with a beautiful end-of-summer Shabbat.

Kaleb Dressin Mench Award
A Mench is somebody that does the right thing, and always tries to make those around them better. Our world lost Kaleb Dressin this past winter, taking a Mench from us just shy of his 9th birthday. Kaleb’s smile and spirit, his generosity and kindness, made all those around him better.
Kaleb loved coming to CA Camps and we loved having him – he truly shined brightly on all of us. To honor Kaleb and keep his memory alive, we awarded two Menches who displayed the spirit of Kaleb!
Congratulations Harper & Madison on earning the 2024 Kaleb Dressin Mench Award!
