The CA Scoop – Week 3 2024

Week 3, June 30 – July 5, 2024

Week 3 Highlights

What a Week 3! We started Monday AM with a visit from the Oriole Bird and ended with a 4th of July BBQ!

To get moving, campers played Scoop Ball, Tee Ball, Hoola-Hoops, Gaga, and more! Campers love the movement games and sports organized by our sports director, Gina Sherwood!
Campers loved learning about “achdut” or “unity” in Jewish Life (with our beloved Morah Marlene!) and made Hamsa bracelets.
If you took your camper to the pool for July 4, you were probably kvelling (gushing) over the progress your campers are making in swimming. Campers continue to gain confidence every day with our amazing swim instructors.
In Cooking, campers made Red White and Blue dipped strawberries!
In Drama Games the campers put on a puppet show and made their own paper bag puppets … In Science, campers set off a Diet Coke and Mentos rocket!
Our LIT/CIT “teens” had an unforgettable time at the Tardigrade Obstacle Course, where they crawled, climbed, swam, and swang their way through the challenging course!
To celebrate 4th of July, we treated campers to a hot dog lunch! We loved our campers and staff amazing red white a blue outfits!
Friday was HOT HOT HOT – but we stayed cool with our water slides, Icee pops, plenty of ice water, and moving some activities indoors!
We ended the week with a special July 4 Shabbat!
